UPDATE: Man killed in shooting at Fastrip in South Bakersfield, suspect arrested

UPDATE (5/2): A man was killed in last night’s shooting and the suspect was arrested, according to BPD.

The department said officers found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment for serious injuries, where he later died.

According to the BPD, officials arrested 20-year-old Daniel Trejo-Calistro in connection with the shooting. He was detained in Kern County Prison on suspicion of murder, gun and drug offenses.

(5/1): BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Bakersfield Police are investigating an apparent shooting Saturday night in South Bakersfield.

Police and rescue workers were called for a fast trip on Pacheco Road and South Union Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Evidence markers and shell casings were visible on the floor behind the police crime scene tape.

It wasn’t immediately clear how people could have been hurt or how severe their wounds were.
