UPDATE: Man arrested in deadly taking pictures at a grocery store in northeast Bakersfield

UPDATE (1/31): The Bakersfield Police Department has arrested 31-year-old Adrian Sanchez in connection with the shooting.

(1/29): BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Police said a 21-year-old man died after a shooting Friday in a supermarket parking lot in northeast Bakersfield.

Officials responded to the Foods Co. on Haley and Height Streets just before 5 p.m. to get a report of an attack on the parking lot. Rescue workers found the man with a gunshot wound to the chest, the police said.

The man was taken to a nearby hospital and later pronounced dead. The Kern County Coroner Office identifies the victim.
