UPDATE: All lanes on I-5 heading north south of Bakersfield reopened after a truck overturned

UPDATE (6pm): All northbound lanes have been reopened on I-5 after a truck and trailer overturned this afternoon. No casualties were reported in the collision.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – An overturned truck with a trailer is blocking the lanes, causing delays for traffic going north on Interstate 5-Highway 99, which is split south by Bakersfield.

The accident was reported in the northbound lanes on Interstate 5 on the Highway 99 split at around 2:45 p.m. The truck and trailer blocked two lanes, CHP said.

Caltrans says anticipating delays for traffic going north in the area. The traffic jammed up to Laval Road. There was no estimated time for the closed lanes to reopen.
