Two men arrested in Bakersfield for violent crime in Ventura County

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) – Two men were arrested for a violent crime in Ventura County, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

BPD said officials and SWAT were called in to assist the Ventura County Sheriff’s office in delivering arrest warrants for two men in northeast Bakersfield. BPD said the arrest warrants were related to a violent crime that took place in the Ventura County Sheriff’s jurisdiction.

BPD, Sheriff’s, and SWAT responded to the City in the Hills neighborhood on Panorama Drive and Vineland Road, where the two men were in a house.

BPD said the two men were taken into custody without incident.

At the time of arrest, BPD spokesman Sgt. Robert Pair had no details on the nature of the crime in Ventura County or how the two men got to Bakersfield.
