Three fires get away in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The Bakersfield Fire Department responded to two fires last night and this morning.

The first fire occurred on Tuesday evening around 6 p.m. The department said firefighters had been dispatched to the 400 block on Cottonwood Road. and found a mobile home that was completely immersed in fire threatening a nearby trailer.

According to the BFD, the firefighters were able to quickly put down the fire of the caravan before attacking the mobile home. The fire destroyed the mobile home, but no one was injured, the department said.

At around 8 p.m. that same night, firefighters were caught in a fire at the residence at 100 Block S. Milham Dr. cleverly. When the crews arrived, BFD said firefighters had found a fire in one of the bedrooms in the house.

The crews were able to put out the fire, but the department estimates there was approximately $ 100,000 in property damage.

No one was injured in the incident, said BFD.

Finally, fire fighters were caught in a fire at the residence on the 2800 block of Hosking Ave this morning at around 5:51 a.m. cleverly. When firefighters arrived, the department said they had found a fire in the garage and were able to put it out quickly.

No one was injured in the fire, said BFD. The department estimates the loss of real estate at around $ 30,000.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is being investigated according to the BFD.
