The suspect wished man was discovered stabbed a number of occasions on Niles Road in East Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly stabbed another man several times after an argument in East Bakersfield on Sunday night.

Police and rescue workers were called to the 1300 block of Niles Street just before 9 p.m. and found a person outside a liquor store who had been stabbed multiple times. A police spokesman said witnesses told officers that the victim and the suspect were in an argument before the knife was stabbed.

The victim was hospitalized with moderate wounds and was found stable.

The officers also said they received a ShotSpotter report around the same time as the sting. A cartridge case was found on the 1200 block of Oregon Street and police are investigating how the two incidents are linked.

A description for one or more possible suspects was not immediately available.
