The local golfer wins the Bakersfield Open in a dramatic way

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – A woman was arrested after leading KCSO MPs on a brief chase that resulted in a collision with an innocent driver in East Bakersfield on Thursday night.

Sheriff’s officials said MPs tried to overtake a driver on Highway 178 for a traffic violation shortly after 6 p.m., but she kept driving. She left Mount Vernon Avenue and the MPs followed her. The woman, identified by the sheriff’s office as 29-year-old Kimberly Juarez, is charged with giving a red light on Potomac Avenue and bumping into another driver.
