The California High Speed Rail Authority is continuing its plans for a link between Bakersfield, Merced and Fresno

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The Californian High Speed Rail Authority reiterated its plan to build a supply line from Merced to Bakersfield.
The board passed a revised business plan that extends an electrified service line between Merced, Fresno and Bakersfield to 171 miles instead of 119 miles.
A final plan will be submitted to lawmakers by April 15th.
Efforts are also being made to find more funding opportunities for rail transport in the Bay Area and the Los Angeles area.
