The authors of the Bakersfield Congregation decide to curb illegal street racing

BAKERSFIELD, California – A local assembly member helps law enforcement agencies take action against illegal street racing.

The third bill, drafted by MP Vince Fong, has left the California State Assembly with overwhelming support from both parties.

AB three provides an additional tool for law enforcement agencies to contain illegal street racing by stopping at the source, the motor vehicle speed display.

The exhibition of speed includes performing stunts, drifting, or other activities carried out at dangerous speeds in order to present yourself to a crowd or “sideshow”.

This new bill gives judges the power to suspend a person’s driver’s license for up to six months after conviction.

AB three will move to the Senate Transport Committee for a hearing in the coming weeks.
