Spouse and two youngsters shot in Bakersfield; 9-year-old injured by damaged glass

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Bakersfield Police Department said a nine-year-old was injured in a shooting in Villalovos Court, an area south of Wilson Road.

According to the department, someone opened fire on a woman and two children around 10 p.m. yesterday evening. None of them were hit by bullets, but the 9-year-old suffered “minor injuries” from broken glass, according to a press release.

No arrests have been made and no public information is available about suspects, according to the BPD. They ask anyone with information about the shooting to call them at (661) 327-7111.
