Pedestrians hit by automobile in downtown Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The American Red Cross is asking residents to support Go Red For Women by participating in National Wear Red Day on February 5. It will help raise awareness of heart disease, which is the leading cause of death in women.

“Kern County’s landmarks, including Dignity Health’s Bakersfield Memorial Hospital, Bakersfield Country Club, Fox Theater, Jim Burke Ford and Chain, Cohn and Stiles in Chester, will show their support for the Go Red for Women movement through red Demonstrate light, “said a Red Cross Release. “Buildings were asked to start exhibiting on Thursday, February 4th as a reminder to community members.”
