Parts of downtown Bakersfield have been flooded due to a water pipeline break

BAKERSFIELD, California – Parts of downtown Bakersfield are closed tonight due to flooding due to a major water break.

According to Cal Water, parts of Streets 18 and 19 and Streets L and N are closed as crews are working to fix the break. The Bakersfield Police Department says the call came just after 8 p.m.

Our on-site crew also says several companies are pumping water out of their buildings as a result.

Cal Water hopes to have everything fixed and cleaned up by Thursday morning.
