BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – All Kern County residents 16 and older are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the Kern County Health Department.
Kern Public Health says vaccine supply in the county is growing and they expect to receive more than 39,000 doses of vaccines this week. As of Sunday, Kern County’s residents had received 316,312 doses. 116,705 or 12.7% of the core population have completed their vaccination series, including 12,883 who were vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Another 92,582 people received a dose of their two-dose series. According to the KCPH, approximately 46% of the Kern population aged 65 and over are now fully vaccinated.
