First Lady Jill Biden stayed in Bakersfield after visiting Delano

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – The Hub of Bakersfield and the Kern County Historical Society will host on Wednesday, April 7th. From 6 to 7 pm a virtual “Historical Happy Hour” in response to Union Pacific’s plans to demolish the Union Pacific train station in the heart of the old town core.

The discussion, led by award-winning draftsman and architectural historian Jean-Guy Darbe, will focus on the station’s history and architecture, and will also look at efforts to restore and re-use other stations across the country.
