Firefighters put out fires that burned RVs in East Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Bakersfield’s AIDS Project expands the services it provides to the community to include COVID-19 vaccines.

Since October 2019, the Bakersfield AIDS Project has been running a needle exchange program every Saturday to help people in the community struggling with drug addiction. The group distributes naloxone – a drug used to reverse overdose – sterile needles, containers for sharp objects, fentanyl test strips, and even sandwiches.
