‘Convey Again the Kern’: Native artist who raises consciousness of Bakersfield’s want for working water

BAKERSFIELD, California (KGET) – An artist raises awareness of a local environmental cause – while transforming the core.

Andres Amador is known worldwide for large-format temporary art installations. He is creating an exhibition in the dry riverbed of the Kern to highlight Bakersfield’s need for running water.

Amador has teamed up with the Bring Back the Kern group to make this installation possible.

You can check out this Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the river bed next to the Beach Park “Flow”
