BPD is investigating potential avenue shootings in southwest Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, California – The Bakersfield Police Department is investigating a possible shooting in the street in southwest Bakersfield on Sunday afternoon.

According to the BPD, a driver in one vehicle shot at a driver in another vehicle near Panama Lane and Wible Road at around 3:08 p.m.

The victim was shot multiple times and suffered moderate to severe injuries. It was transported to Kern Medical, where it is expected to survive, confirmed BPD.

BPD describes the suspect in a press release as a “fair-skinned man in his twenties, shaved head, occupying a green or dark vehicle”.

The authorities have reopened the roads in the region.
