BFD responds to 3-alert fire in the center of Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire this morning in an abandoned commercial building in downtown Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Fire Department announced around 4:30 a.m. they had received reports of a fire in the area of ​​Brundage Lane and H Street. When the firefighters arrived, they found a building that was completely submerged in fire.

The fire was able to be contained in the building, but it was a total loss, the department said.

According to the BFD, investigators of arson are on site.
