Bakersfield SPCA discusses the effects of fireworks on animals

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KERO) – Julie Johnson, the Executive Director of Bakersfield SPCA, came to 23ABC this morning to discuss her new public education initiative about the effects of fireworks on animals.

The Bakersfield SPCA sells courtyard signs to enable pet parents to let their neighbors know that they have pets that have been frightened by fireworks.

The courtyard signs are available from the SPCA for a minimum donation of $ 25. You are located at 3000 Gibson Street. When you get there, call 323-8353 ext 2 and the staff will take your payment and bring the sign to your car.
