Bakersfield Information Observer continues to be Kern County’s solely African American newspaper

BAKERSFIELD, California – The Bakersfield News Observer has provided Kern County with a rich history for over four decades.

Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the African American newspaper holds on to its legacy.
