Randy’s Donuts, the Los Angeles icon donut known for both its oversized plaster of paris billboard and wide selection of pastries, is opening a store in Bakersfield, the company said.
Randy’s Donuts was founded in 1952 and opened its first location in Inglewood in 1953. Randy’s Donuts recently added locations across Southland as well as one in South Korea.
The upcoming Bakersfield location opens at 5625 California Ave. An opening date is not yet available.
The flagship donut store in Inglewood is a staple of LA movies and TV shows. It’s perhaps best seen in Arrested Development, Entourage, Iron Man 2, and in Randy Newman’s music video for “I Love LA”.
